Lansing Community College increased their enrollment about two percent this year. They are close to cracking the 20,000 student mark for the first time in more than 10 years.
Their vice president of advancement, Ruth Borger, credits that increase to a search for value. As people come to believe they need a college education, more look to less expensive ways to get it.
Jackson Community College increased enrollment by two percent as well. They have about 5,500 students this semester.
