The program recognizes the reality that kids' clothes can make a difference in the way they feel about themselves. For school-aged kids, wearing stylish clothes can mean the difference between fitting in with peers or not.
"Clothes for Kids" has targeted 300 needy students for customers at the Meridian Mall to help. Starting Friday patrons can pick up an informational hanger with a child's name, sex, size and what items they need.
Last year the program clothed 152 kids and raised about $9,000 to go towards buying new clothes for students.
Volunteers will be in the Center Court at the Meridian Mall from July 15 until July 31. Monetary donations are also accepted if you're not a shopper.
