East Lansing Police say Ethel Geisenhaver was last spotted walking in a Kroger parking lot in East Lansing. The 90-year-old has Alzheimer’s and police are continuing their search though some say that search effort could have been expedited.

Geisenhaver is 4 foot 11, has gray hair and hazel eyes according to East Lansing police. She has been missing since 9 a.m. Monday.

Sergeant Matthew Flint of The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office says that if Geisenhaver was part of their Alzheimer’s Safe Return Program police could have expedited their search.

Their two-year-old program allows people with Alzheimer’s to be registered with a digital picture.

Their information is kept on a database and if that person is reported missing their information can be instantly transmitted to local authorities and media.

If you have seen someone resembling Geisenhaver call East Lansing Police at 517-351-4220.
