"Clearly we need our delegates seated," Governor Jennifer Granholm stressed on Thursday.
Just how that will happen remains a mystery. Governor Granholm says numerous possibilities are on the table, including a possible mulligan.
"A redo is one of the things that's being discussed, but there are many things being discussed."
The problem is, a redo could be costly to the state...well into the millions of dollars.
"We don't want the taxpayers to pay for it."
Who would remains the question. Private donations are a possibility, though the Governor jokes another option could work...
"So who would pay for it? Is there some big sugar daddy out there?"
If another election is held, it could be a firehouse contest, with fewer polling places and shorter hours.
"It's very difficult to do logistically given the huge number of people if it's not through the traditional means."
But with Hillary Clinton winning Texas and Ohio on Tuesday night, her race with Senator Barack Obama has tightened, making Michigan's and Florida's delegates more crucial to the nomination process.
Both states had all delegates stripped for violating national rules and holding early primaries. Governor Granholm says she's speaks with Florida's governor daily, who is also calling for the delegates to be re-instated.
"Some party boss in Washington decided that they were not going to let people's voices heard? Are you kidding me? This is the will of the people and it should be respected," said Republican Governor Charlie Crist. "It's what our country is founded upon."
Just when a solution happens is yet to be seen, though Governor Granholm is calling for quick action.
"It's coming down to the wire. We really need a solution."
