There were some sighs of relief in East Lansing, as the city found money to keep funding some non-profit organizations next year.
The city has found an additional $17,500 to help fund The Gateway Community Center.
It provides a medical clinic for the uninsured.
The listening ear crisis counseling center will receive an additional $14,000.
The cuts are less severe to those organizations, but most are receiving less city funding overall then last year.
Big Bothers, Big Sisters of Greater Lansing is no exception.
East Lansing did not find additional money for them and is planning to cut their funding in half to $1,000.
The cut will not cause any cuts to personnel or services and is small compared to the organization's budget.
