The now-closed Lansing Car Assembly plant will likely stay busy through 2005. That's according to General Motors spokeswoman Kim Carpenter.
Carpenter said Monday both LCA plant sites will house around 200 GM employees each. Employees will be performing various tasks including housekeeping, getting parts to service areas, environmental and housekeeping clean-up. The LCA will also have office space and training for employees who will be going to the new Delta plant.
Carpenter said no decision has been made yet as to what ultimately will happen to the property. She said GM will include the community when making that decision.
