East Lansing Mayor Mark Meadows Monday announced who will be serving on an 11-member independent review committee to study last month's Final Four riots.
The commission, chaired by Meadows, includes law enforcement experts, members of the community, along with MSU staff and students.
The commission will study a report compiled by the East Lansing Police Department on the riots and collect testimony from people who where there. It will then suggest recommendations on ways to better control large crowds in the future.
The commission expects to have a draft report of its suggestions by mid-August.
Its first meeting will likely be May 16. Meetings are open to the public.
