One woman was killed and a man seriously injured after their plane crashed into a barn in Shiawassee County's Antrim Township. Authorities say the single-engine plane went down a little before 2pm Monday. The couple from Virginia had just departed from a private airstrip when the plane crashed in the 4000 block of Beard Road just west of Bancroft Road. The man was flying the plane. He's hospitalized in critical condition. His wife died in the crash.
The FAA is investigating.
