Sixty-one years ago, the Japanese attacked the fleet at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, drawing the United States into World War II.
The East Lansing Historial Society held a ceremony to salute WWII veterans.
They commemorated the restoration and relocation of a plaque with the names of 31 East Lansing men who were killed in the war.
The plaque is now at the Hannah Community Center, along with WWII veterans and members of the community.
There were representatives from the Army, Navy, Marines and the Air Force.
The attack on Pearl Harbor happened Dec. 7, 1941.
