Capitol City Airport is under new leadership Monday. Robert Sigel officially took over as executive director of Lansing's airport. He comes to mid-Michigan from Columbus, Ohio. Sigel was hired unanimously in October.

Sigel says pleasing the customer is his top priority. He said at the present time, between 30 and 50 percent of Lansing area travelers drive to Detroit, Flint or Grand Rapids' airports. He wants to bring those customers back to Lansing.

One thing travelers are concerned about is price. Sigel says research and communication with the community are a key to changes at the airport.

Sigel estimates he will have a plan of attack within a couple of months.
