YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) -- Three people have been shot near the Eastern Michigan University campus.
School spokesman Geoff Larcom says the victims were taken to the hospital. Their injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
Larcom says Ypsilanti police had identified the suspected shooter, but he remained at large.
The spokesman says none of the shooting victims are students at Eastern Michigan, nor is the suspected shooter.
AnnArbor.com reports (http://bit.ly/GYTccl ) the shootings happened Friday night in a parking lot near Eastern's Alexander music building.
The university earlier issued a crime alert, urging people to stay away from the area while police investigated. A subsequent alert said the area had been reopened.
