Students at Jackson Community College will be paying more for their education. JCC Trustees have approved a five percent tuition increase.

Students will soon pay $64 per credit hour. The current charges are $61 per credit hour.

The college says the increase is needed as it braces for expected state budget cuts, which could take away more than a million dollars from JCC's annual budget.
