Kids at the Dwight Rich Middle School in Lansing won first, second and third place in an anti-smoking competition sponsored - in part - by the American Lung Association.

Students used state of the art video and editing equipment to create the award winning 30-second public service announcements that remind people of the hazards of smoking.

The middle schoolers won a total of $3,500. They will use the money to expand their anti-smoking education efforts to other local middle schoolers.

The kids also received a pizza party and gift certificates to the Lansing Mall.
