Dating violence impacts thousands of Michigan teens each year according to statistics by the U.S. Bureau of Justice. Between 25% and 40% of teens have been assaulted by their dates.
Because of those astounding numbers, the Michigan Family Independence Agency to send each high school in the state a new dating violence youth education package.
The packages include information on dating violence and resources for educating students about the issue.
