GOP Will Control State House

The Democrats may have won the governor's office, but soon-to-be-governor Granholm will have to deal with a State House that remains a Republican stronghold.

About a quarter of the House of Representatives and two-thirds of the Senate were up for grabs because term limits. When the counting is finalized, the Republicans will have gained a 16-seat majority in the House and have a six seat majority in the state Senate.
