Ingham County says call their hotline at (517)676-2431 to locate your vehicle. They have a list of 77, and the locations where they were towed.
The problem for many drivers has been communication between police departments. Livingston County, Ingham County, Michigan State Police, and others responded to the massive accident. Each jurisdiction authorized wreckers that took cars to auto body shops all over mid-Michigan. The counties are now sharing information to help people find their cars.
Insurance companies are in the loop as well. They say they may be able to help some clients find their cars.
Others are slowly submitting damage claims. AAA, the largest insurer in the region, says they've seen 13 so far. They expect once all drivers find their vehicles, they'll see many more.
