Twenty-four families who lost their apartments in a massive fire Thursday in Lansing Township moved everything they could salvage today.
The entire "H" building at the Westbay Club was damaged from the fire, smoke, and water. Nearly all the residents have been relocated in another complex owned by the manager.
Lansing Township is still investigating what started the blaze, but they say they're almost certain where it began. Those apartments nearby on the northeast side of the building most likely can't be saved.
Lansing Township Deputy Fire Chief Rick Curry says the fate of the other apartments is up to insurance adjustors.
