According to The Michigan Department of Treasury, 127 schools were awarded the Golden Apple for either MEAP achievement or overall MEAP improvement.
The Golden Apple accompanies a $10,000 award.
The state of Michigan will pay out $1.27 million in total for the Golden Apples.
