The annual interstate battle between Michigan State and Michigan is upon us, but if the demand for tickets is an indicator, early signs show fans are not excited.

Fans and ticket brokers all agree the demand for tickets this year is just not there. Once going for hundreds of dollars, now tickets are being sold for as low as $49.

Fans say the team's poor record at 3-5 and the recent suspension of MSU quarterback Jeff Smoker has all played a part in the excitement level. But loyal fans say despite these setbacks, it shouldn't stop them from supporting the team.

Saturday's game at the Big House on the campus of Michigan marks the 94th meeting between the two schools.
