The organizers of Michigan's State Fair say the annual event turned a profit this year. In fact it's the third time the fair has made money in the last four years.
After settling the books, the State Fair earned about $28,000 this year.
The Michigan State Fair began in 1849 as the first state fair in the country. About a half-million people visit the fair in Detroit every year.
