The nation's second largest poultry company, Pilgrim's Pride, is recalling more than 27 million pounds of cooked sandwich meat.
The recall happened after it's Wampler Foods Brand turkey and chicken tested positive for a strain of potentially deadly bacteria listeria.
The meat was processed at the company's plant in Franconia, Pennsylvania from May First to Oct. 11.
Sidestreets Deli on the campus of Michigan State University took Wampler brand turkey and smoked turkey off their shelves on Sunday.
The store manager says the deli lost about 80 pounds of turkey and will serve ham as an alternative.
