One week after L/Cpl. Justin Ellsworth was killed during a civilain rescue mission in Fallujah, family and friends gather in Lansing for a final farewell.
Childhood friends wore blue t-shirts reading "In Loving Memory," while Justin's uncle shared his sentiments. Mike Ross said even when he was young, he always put other people in front of him and as he got older, that never changed.
Ellsworth was from Wixom, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, and he joined the marines shortly after he graduated from high school. His family says it was something he had planned on doing ever since he was little. In letters to home, Justin expressed positive feelings about his work and truly felt he was making a difference.
