Every year, students from Lansing's Hill Center decorate a bus for the Silver Bells in the City parade. But one student couldn't take part this year because he passed away in January.

Mike Butka was 16 when he died in his sleep. Classmates from an automotive technology program remember him as outgoing and helpful especially when it came to decorating their float last year.

Deo Wells, program instructor, suggested they keep Mike's memory with them for this year’s event, so they posted pictures of him on the bus made to look like a train. Wells says Mike is their engineer this year.
