Carolyn Kronenberg, a 60-year-old professor and former LCC administrator was found dead this morning at the Student and Personnel Services Building on the downtown campus. Her death is being investigated as a homicide through a joint effort by LCC Police and the City of Lansing Police Department.
It is the first homicide occuring on campus in LCC's 47 year history.
"This investigation is in the very early stages," said John Imeson, LCC Chief of Police. "We are working closely with Lansing Police with assistance from Michigan State Police Investigative Resources Division."
Kronenberg specialized in teaching student development course. She was awarded a Distinguished Service Award in 1991.
