New Warnings on Depo-Provera

New studies show prolonged use of Depo-Povera is linked to decreased bone density, which makes women more susceptible to osteoporosis.

Local doctors say they have thought there may be an issue with the contraceptive and osteoporosis, but the new studies show new information that the loss of bone mass may not be reversible.

They recommend all women on Depo-Provera also take a calcium supplement. This will counter-effects of possible bone loss.
