The icy Grand River flowing through Windsor Township has dropped about a foot giving some home owners a break from worrying about their homes.
Sgt. Aaron Brown of Eaton County Emergency Services says the ice and water of the Grand River has decreased about a foot.
That's a change for some homeowners around the Grand Pointe subdivision.
Several of those residents were concerned about flooding of their basements.
Meantime, the water level for The Village of Dimondale has increased about a foot and half.
Authorities don't worry about homeowners there, because most of the land is on higher ground.
