The power of the crash pushed the girls' bunk bed across the room and against the wall. Leonard Herrington heard a screech and a crash, and couldn't even get in the room to rescue his daughters, ages six, 10, and 11, when it first happened.
All three girls were okay, as was the driver and his passenger. Herrington found the driver, James Boyd Robinson, 22, in the bushes. The passenger, Ian Kincher, 19, was found later and issued a ticket for minor in possession.
The Herringtons are remarkably calm about their early morning wake-up call; thankful they are alive and unhurt. Herrington only hopes it will serve as a wake-up call for the man behind the wheel.
