Lansing Approves Early Retirement Plan

The Lansing School district voted in favor of a retirement progam to help cut away at it's $10 to $12 million dollar budget deficit for next year.

The retirement plan's finer detials have yet to be worked out said a spokesperson for the union representing teachers, but between 150 to 170 teachers are expected to take advantage of it.

Early estimates hope to save $2 million towards next year's deficite.
