A shooting in Lansing’s north side leaves one dead and one in custody, but also raises concerns over the safety of homes in an apartment complex.
The alleged gunman, 18-year-old Antonio Embry turned himself in at the advise of friends, relatives and police pressure.
Authorities say an argument on Friday escalated into a deadly feud by Sunday, and around 5:00 p.m., in the parking lot of hickory woods apartments James Patrick Hill was shot once in the chest, and pronounced dead at Sparrow Hospital.
Police say they have met with the management of Hickory Woods Apartments to combat what authorities call a pattern of crime in the area.
Police say they will begin to question Embry about the shooting.
Police are still looking for the murder weapon at this time.
