Voters can still bring absentee ballots directly to city clerks until Tuesday night. Voters can also fill out absentee ballots without leaving the clerks' offices until Monday at 4 p.m.
Lansing City Clerk Debbie Miner also stresses there are "emergency absentee ballots" available. If you have an emergency between now and Election Day, contact your city clerk.
Between now and the election, clerks will be busy checking and re-checking absentee ballots to prepare them for counting on Tuesday. In Lansing, Miner expects to handle as many as 8,000. That's 2,000 more than were submitted in the last presidential election.
