Holiday Weight Gain

Experts say many people gain about five to ten pounds around the holidays. Here are some tips to prevent tipping the scale.

Fill up on fruits and veggies; drink at least eight glasses of water throughout the day; never go to a holiday party hungry; limit your alcohol intake.

Dieticians say many people think they can work off the extra calories by bumping up their exercise routine. But experts say you can't work off a bad diet. It's very easy to take in 1,000 additional calories during the holidays but very difficult to burn that many calories in a work-out session.
