Five Sentenced for Throwing Rocks off Overpasses

Five young men who admitted to throwing rocks off an I-94 overpasses this summer, were sentenced in Jackson County courtroom this morning.

Adam and Lewis Engle along with Scott Collen Jr and Justin Pressley were sentenced to boot camp.

Gareth Stanley was sentenced to spend up to a year in Jail. A medical condition prevents him from participating in the boot camp.

Also, all five must pay part of the damage restitution totaling more than $49,000.

    These are boys that got into some trouble. I am the girlfriend of one of them. They are not bad people. They just made a bad decision. No one should look down on them because of it. Everyone makes mistakes.

    THEY ARE LUCKY THAT JUDGE GRANT DIDN'T THROW THE BOOK AT THEM.THEY SHOULD BE IN PRISON FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER. FOUR OF THEM HAD GOOD JOBS. GOOD LUCK IN TRYING TO FOND ANOTHER ONE.

    This is great! We as a society should want this type of punishment for these problematic kids! Great sentencing! We need more judges like this to hand down these type of sentences as well! KUDOS to the system this time around!

    kids just don't have enough to do.in a good way that is.parents can't correct them or it is abuse.so look at the young kids now.yrs ago it wasn't like this.I hope these kids learn now and don't end up in a real prison.some laws really need changed.
