This weekend should mark the final opportunity to see fall colors, AAA Michigan said Wednesday in its final leaves report of the season.
The auto club, which takes a weekly survey of state parks and visitors' bureaus, said fall colors are well past their peak in the Upper Peninsula and most of the northern Lower Peninsula, where leaves mostly are on the ground.
A few southern areas remain at the peak of their season with substantial orange, yellow, and red foliage.
