November 15 is the 31st annual "Great American Smokeout", sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Smokers are urged to not light up for at least 24 hours. The ACS hopes by not smoking for one day, smokers will realize they can do without cigarettes.
If you want help kicking the habit, you can attend the "Quit Tobacco Workshop" on the 15th, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30p.m. at the Ingham County Health Department, 5303 S. Cedar (Door 3, Second Floor.) For more information, call (517) 887-4315.
