Deer Hunting Season Begins

It's the first day of firearm deer hunting season, and the state estimates close to 600,000 hunters will shoot this season.
This year, in addition to bagging a buck or doe, state DNR officials are asking hunters to aim at feral swine. The pigs are fair game in 50 counties for deer hunters with valid hunting licenses. The DNR says the swine damage crops and carry diseases. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
