Deer Hunting Season Begins

It's the first day of firearm deer hunting season, and the state estimates close to 600,000 hunters will shoot this season.
This year, in addition to bagging a buck or doe, state DNR officials are asking hunters to aim at feral swine. The pigs are fair game in 50 counties for deer hunters with valid hunting licenses. The DNR says the swine damage crops and carry diseases.

    we are a small rural village in southern mich.before sun rise the guns are going off all around our town in the many wooded areas that surround us,and then into the day time hours.many are in need to feed there families,many are barely getting buy in this county.loss of jobs and all the high heating bills and so on.all the same things plagueing mich.our local food bank has little to offer,and needs so much food to help many in it is out of town,many can't afford to drive there.where is michigan headed and what are people to do.I hope all thoes in need of the meat,get there we have many running around in rural mich.we see many lieing on the side of the road,due to the car vs.deer accidents.corn fiels being harvested,they are on the run,so good luck to all.
