Thirty-three-year-old Daniel Djoro was sentenced to prison Monday in a Manhattan, New York courtroom for fraud. Djoro, of Lansing, reported that his brother was in the World Trade Center when it collapsed and received $270,000 in charity money.
Djoro was facing arson charges in Ingham County when he was extradited to New York to stand trial for fraud.
Local prosecutors are still considering how to charge Djoro locally in the fraud.
