A worker at a downtown Lansing construction site was hospitalized after being hit in the back by a 1,200 lb. wrecking ball. There are no details about how the accident happened.
Eyewitnesses say the worker immediately went into shock after being struck. It took rescue workers 21 minutes to get him stabilized and transported to Sparrow Hospital.
The unidentified man is being treated for back injuries, but they don't appear to be life threatening.
