Saks Incorporated, the parent company to Saks 5th Avenue, is interested in buying the old Jacobson's store at Meridian Mall.
Negotiations are underway between Jacobson's and the Birmingham, Alabama-based Saks Incorporated.
Jackson-based Jacobson's declared bankruptcy in January and closed all stores nationwide.
A Meridian Mall spokesperson says they are aware of the talks, but will not comment further.
