The Lower Peninsula is expected to reach peak fall color this weekend, AAA Michigan said Wednesday.
The auto club, which takes a weekly survey of state parks and visitors' bureaus, said much of northern and central Lower Michigan is displaying color intensity in the 95 to 100 percent range.
In southern Michigan, Holland, Hastings, and Kalamazoo in the west and Holly in the east are displaying 60 to 85 percent color.
The Upper Peninsula already has seen peak colors this fall.
