Now is a good time to see the leaves. Triple-A Michigan says the Upper Peninsula has reached its peak fall color.
The auto club says the most vivid reds, oranges, and yellows can be found in Ontonagon and Sault Ste. Marie.
Sections of the Lower Peninsula are showing color intensity ranges of 65 to 90 percent.
The best reports are near Cadillac and Traverse City. Alpena and Gaylord also are showing good color. The best color in southern Michigan is in parks in Kalamazoo and Port Austin.
Southeast Michigan should begin to see peak color in late October.
