A 28 year old man is expected to survive being shot Tuesday night in Lansing.

The gunman has not been caught.

It seems that as time goes on Lansing is becoming a haven for worse and worse for criminal activity.

This "alleged" shooter is also connected to the homicide (Arbor Point earlier this year, maybe?), 1 felonius assault, 3 attempted murder charges (1 person shot in leg, 2 in the back during a carjacking). All of these occurred during his probation he was given in late May of 2007 for a CSC w/ intent to penetrate. He absconded probation and was caught after the attempted carjacking, and placed in the county jail. He was then was released from jail AND from the probation on 10/8/2007. They had him and let him go to continue to try and kill people. It really sounds like the citizens on the south side of Lansing should be afraid for their lives. Maybe their race and social status plays a part in the fact that this isn't getting any attention. Let them take each other out, you think? That is really sad.
