The white powdery substance that spilled from an envelope mailed to a state office has tested harmless.
The letter arrived Tuesday at the State of Michigan Operations Center in Windsor Township. A white powdery substance was found in a letter, which appeared to have been mailed from Pakistan.
However, tests on the powder have ruled out anthrax or any other bioterrorism substance.
Thirty employees who were near where the letter was opened had to be decontaminated as a precaution.
