Michigan School Buses Pass Safety Test

Michigan school districts are doing a better job keeping their buses in good working order. State Police tell WILX.com a little more than 89% of buses passed inspection. That's a slight increase from last year.

Three hundred, two schools had a 100% passing rate.

Inspectors red-tagged nearly 1,400 buses, meaning they had to be taken out of service immediately until they're fixed.

That's down from 1,500 last year.
