KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) -- Police say an 18-year-old woman critically hurt in a fall from the second-story balcony of a Western Michigan University fraternity house had been drinking.
The Kalamazoo Gazette reports Friday that Jordyn Sanderson had a blood-alcohol level of 0.18 percent -- more than twice the legal limit for driving -- when she fell early Wednesday morning.
Sanderson was taken to Bronson Hospital, where she remains in critical condition with a fractured skull.
Police say it's not clear if the Lansing Community College student from Portland had been drinking at the Sigma Pi house but alcohol was being consumed there. The university has suspended the fraternity.
