Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Snyder shelled out millions more than his rivals to win the GOP primary.

That's according to new campaign finance reports.

Snyder spent $7.6 million on his campaign, including more than $6 million out of his own pocket.

Mike Cox spent $3.3 million and Mike Bouchard spent $2.2 million.

Gubernatorial candidate Virg Bernero won the democratic nomination spending just under $1 million.
