Banding Together to Help Soldiers
The St. Johns High School band is looking for help to collect items to send to troops stationed overseas.

For the rest of the football season, the Redwing marching band along with the football team will be stuffing a military vehicle full of items to send to troops overseas.
And they want your help.
Band Director Roy Davis says they're looking for items like these:
TWIN BLANKETS / BED SHEETS / PILLOW CASES
FULL SIZE BATH TOWELS
SMALL BATTERY-POWERED LAMPS
BATTERIES
CDs/DVD
FRISBEES, FOOTBALLS, PLAYING CARDS, PUZZLES,
BASEBALL GLOVE
TRAIL MIX, GRANOLA BARS, BEEF JERKY, HARD CANDY
WATER PACKAGES – CRYSTAL LIGHT, GATORADE, KOOL-AID
BOOKS
CALLING CARDS
PAPER/PEN/PENCILS/ENVELOPE/CARDS
LONG SOCKS, LIGHT TAN BOOT LACES
ANY AND ALL TYPES OF PERSONAL HYGIENE
A military vehicle will serve as the drop area for these items at the rest of the home games in St. Johns starting Thursday September 2. September 17 and October 8 are the dates of the other two games where they will be collecting items for soldiers.
