President Bush is denouncing Democrat John Kerry's healthcare proposal as a government takeover that would trigger tax hikes.
Bush told supporters in Muskegon that he's running against someone with a massive, complicated blueprint to have government take over the decision-making in healthcare. The crowd booed when Bush said Kerry's plan would raise taxes.
Bush outlined his healthcare ideas while sitting on a stage with residents from Grand Rapids, Rockford and Muskegon. He's also making campaign stops in Holland and Battle Creek as part of a bus tour.
