"My cat, Izzy, brought the owl in. I heard some scuffling in the kitchen and knew immediately she brought something in. I walked in and was completely surprised to see an owl with its wing caught in Izzy's mouth. I also have a dog and we have a dog-door so she can come in and out to use the restroom, so I'm assuming that's how Izzy brought the owl in.
The owl was in my house for about an hour when I got home. The first video (where I screamed) was as soon as I got Izzy out of the kitchen so I could keep the owl safe. The next 45-minutes or so was me trying everything, without hurting the owl, to get it to fly out of the house, that's why all my windows were opened. The last video shows the conclusion of the hour."
An intruding owl caused one man to devise an interesting way to remove the bird from his kitchen.
In the video above, Colton Wright, was anything but cool, calm, or collected when he found the owl in his home, but it took a steady hand to help the trapped bird escape safely.
Wright grabbed a Swiffer Sweeper and, with quite the calming voice, slowly lowered his new friend down to an open window.
Watch the hilarious reaction in the video above, and read Colton's description of the event in his own words.
