A heroic black lab named Jack used his jaws to gently carry a drowning baby bird to safety.
To much praise of Jack's owner, Rick Sauer, the baby bird appeared to be mostly unharmed, albeit wet and tired after his time spent in the water.
From the video's decription, Rick writes, "I put the bird back its nest and I watched the mother fly back to nest and take care of it. I didn't touch the bird with my bare hands. I went back several days later and looked at them through my binoculars and all three birds were still in the nest. I hunt with my dog but it was really cool to see that he knew the difference between a bird in distress and a bird that he is hunting."
