Fans watching the San Antonio Spurs take on the Miami heat on Tuesday night were met with a different face-off during halftime.
A California tribe, the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, paid for the anti-Redskins advertisement “Proud to Be” to run in seven major cities. The ad targets the Washington Redskins and their use of the controversial team name.
The television airing was a first for the ad. Initially, it appeared online in time for the Super Bowl.
